Tuna, Mahi and White Marlin in the Wilmington

On Saturday, June 9th, we traveled to the Wilmington Canyon with hopes of taking part in the epic Bigeye Tuna bite that occurred the day before. Immediately after the final lines were set we were hooked up to our first white marlin of the season. Our lady angler on her very first offshore trip did an excellent job on the reel before the fish eventually became unhooked. We ended the day with (2) white marlin hooks ups, a mahi and a yellow fin tuna.
