We went 1-1 on white marlin bites, caught several blackfin tuna and bailed mahi and jacks off the gear.

Our charter yesterday consisted of 5 college grads who wanted to catch a big shark. We ended the day with one dusky shark release and a large wahoo. The wahoo weighed 72lbs on the scale at the Ocean City Fishing Center.
We fished with a father and sons team from Elkton MD on Sunday 08/07. We went 1 for 3 on white marlins, caught 4 mahi and lost a nice yellowfin. This was young Kirk's 1st billfish.
On Saturday July 28th we fished with an Amish family from Lancaster Pennsylvania and were blessed with another white marlin release. In addition to the marlin release we were bit off by a wahoo.
Tyler Maerz caught his 1st billfish today with us and proudly takes the ceremonial dip! White marlin release # 3 for the season, couple yellowfin tuna and mahi on today's trip. Our crew today consisted of family members from New York and Arizona. Mr. West Coast was rewarded with a toothy one today.
On Saturday, June 30th, Paul Beck and crew from the great state of Ohio fished with us. This was their 1st offshore fishing trip and we ended up going 5 for 10 on yellow fin tunas!! Justin Hoeckle and crew had a great day fishing with us. Another 1st white marlin for one of the anglers, a yellow fin tuna and 2 mahis. On Thursday, June 21st, William Yeager and several others ventured out with us to the Baltimore Canyon in search of yellow fin tuna. After several hours of dragging baits we were lucky to get bit by a white marlin. Once we returned to the Ocean City Fishing Center William took the traditional plunge for catching his first billfish. On Saturday, June 9th, we traveled to the Wilmington Canyon with hopes of taking part in the epic Bigeye Tuna bite that occurred the day before. Immediately after the final lines were set we were hooked up to our first white marlin of the season. Our lady angler on her very first offshore trip did an excellent job on the reel before the fish eventually became unhooked. We ended the day with (2) white marlin hooks ups, a mahi and a yellow fin tuna. We had a full crew for this year's Mako Mania tournament sponsored by Bahia Marina here in Ocean City, Maryland. Day 1 yielded a 74" mako shark that was nine inches short of the new NOAA size regulation of 83". We also caught several dusky sharks, a big blue shark and a large tiger shark. All fish were released to fight another day. Day 2 yielded slick calm conditions with very little current and wind. We managed to catch and release (2) large dusky sharks, Great times on the new Viking! Looking forward to next year's tournament!! Capt. Mark We were able to fish off the coast of North Carolina on our travels back to Ocean City, MD. The blue water held plenty of bait which provided JB Sommer and Russell Collins some decent fish to take home.
We went on our first overnight trip of the season with the Clay family. We ventured deep into the Baltimore Canyon trolling for tuna. We ended the trip with once nice yellow fin for 16 year old Mike Jr. Great trip with good friends!! Happy "16th" Birthday Mike Clay Jr.
We trolled a lump just north of the Hot Dog on Saturday with a crew of anglers from Pasadena, MD. Ended the day with 5 bites and (2) nice yellow fin tuna in the box.
