| Capt. Dave Stocks began fishing the waters of east central Florida
as a young boy. Today, as a charter captain, he gets just as excited
about each trip as he did when he was a kid. He is a second generation
charter captain, taking after his dad who has been guiding for over
20 years. He has always enjoyed fishing and being out on the water,
and is now fortunate enough to be able to say that one of his lifelong
passions is also his livelihood. Having fished in many different regions of the country, Capt. Dave has gained much experience and insight on feeding patterns and techniques on catching a wide variety of fish, ranging from offshore Cobia, Dolphin and Wahoo, to Snook, Tarpon, Redfish and Trout in the Indian River Lagoon System. His true passion is to be out on the water, putting people on fish and seeing their reaction and excitement as their rod bends! His clientele range from very experienced anglers who are targeting specific species to first time folks who just want to catch fish. It’s all fun! “When I took over FinAtic charters from my dad, my focus was on using a very versatile boat that could offer both flats and near shore fishing. I am committed to the use of high quality tackle. I chose the Space Coast of Central Florida to base my business because of the great year round fishing!” I enjoy taking the time to show the novice fisherman why certain techniques are used, and which techniques are best for the given conditions and target fish, just as much as I love being the complement to the experienced angler and putting him on the fish he longs for. Having patience is an absolute necessity no matter what your skill level and I have the patience necessary to taking you on a fishing trip you’ll never forget! |
